Taking over the world, one downward dog at a time.

Hotpod Yoga is the latest phenomenon to hit the health and well-being sector, making yoga accessible and affordable for everyone. Founded by Max Henderson, a management consultant, and Nick Higgins, a full-time yoga instructor, Hotpod Yoga launched in 2013 and has since spread rapidly throughout the UK, Europe and South Africa.

Max and Nick had a unique vision to demystify yoga, a tradition that is thousands of years old. Fighting against peoples’ preconceived notions of chanting, oppressive heat and complicated twisting of limbs, they have created an experience that stimulates the body and calms the mind with their approachable version of yoga.  Working with leading inflatable design experts, architects and heating consultants, Max and Nick created a range of unique portable studios that can pop up just about anywhere! Heating up to 37degrees, the yoga pods accommodate up to 20 people and provide the perfect yoga environment.

After successfully establishing locations around London, Hotpod Yoga franchises began setting up in cities like Nottingham, Cardiff and Cambridge, and then Amsterdam, Johannesburg and Bucharest. While international expansion is exciting, it brings a whole new level of stress, even for a yoga company. With Hotpod’s increasing global presence, Max was frustrated by the limited number of currencies available and the astronomical fees for international payments charged by his bank and leading foreign exchange services.  So, it makes perfect sense that Hotpod yoga should partner with Money Mover, a company that also focuses on improving its customers lives through stress reduction.

After being introduced to Hamish Anderson, Money Mover’s CEO, Max was convinced the fintech company could offer Hotpod a better solution. Not only did the simplicity of Money Mover’s sign up process and natural UI/UX appeal to Max, the company also offered the ability to use certain currency pairs, such as USD to HKD, that were not previously available with other foreign exchange services.

When asked why he likes using Money Mover, Max commented, “Ultimately, it is an affordable, simple process which makes international business easier. Having franchises overseas, as well as many in the UK, means that we work with different currencies and countries. Money Mover has enabled us to work with these in a more cost effective way.”

Looking towards the future, Max says, “Hotpod Yoga will continue to use Money Mover as we continue to grow. It is a relationship that works well. We look forward to trying out the Same Currency feature and seeing what else 2017 has in store, for both Hotpod and Money Mover.”

Namaste.
