Documents you’ll need to set up a business account

We want to tell you what you’ll need to have to hand in order to add a business account to Money Mover. Documents must be a PDF download, scan or photo of a physical copy. 

Business documents

We are required to verify the following company documents:

  • Certificate of incorporation / charity registration certificate / trust deed / corporate resolution certificate (as applicable)
  • Annual return or Shareholder register (for limited companies)
  • Most recent accounts
  • Memorandum and Articles of Association
    Documents can be PDF downloads, but must not be screen prints.

Personal documents

As part of our due dilligence process we need to identify certain people within the business.  This will involve gathering copies of proof of address and identification documents for each of the following:

  • Two Directors of the business (or one and the company secretary, if there is only one Director)
  • Beneficial owners holding 25% or more of the business
  • All 'Mandate Holders' (individuals allowed to operate the account)
  • Controllers of the business who are living in the UK do not need to provide any documentation.

Controllers of the business who are non-UK residents need to provide:

  • 2 current pieces of personal identification (Passport/Driving licence/National ID card)
  • 2 proofs of address (Bank statement/Utility bill/Tax notification)
